Hi there! My name is Monique Montgomery - I am an essayist, an editor, and an award-winning songwriter. I have been teaching academic and professional writing at the college and university level since 2010.
I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College, and an Honours Bachelor Degree with distinction in English and Political Science from Western University.
I have published several essays in The Globe and Mail, and I publish regularly in Humanist Perspectives Magazine, where I serve as the poetry editor. I write songs with my song writing partner and husband, Henry Taylor. We perform as the Henry and Monique Folk Explosion.
